The Soldotna High School football team will hold a golf tournament fundraiser on June 17 at the Birch Ridge Golf Course in Soldotna, Alaska.

River City Dental will sponsor the event, which is slated to start at 2:30 following a 1 p.m.check-in time.

The tournament will pit a maximum of 18 four-player teams against each other.Entry fees are $100 for individual golfers and $400 for four-player teams.

Mulligans will be on sale for $10 each, or eight for $40.

Competitions include an award for the longest drive, first-place and second-place team trophies, and a special "red lantern" award.A "quarterback throw" competition will take place at the course's fourth hole, with an award given to the golfer whose drive lands closest to the pin.

Sponsorship fees are Gold level at $1,500, which includes a full-page ad in the 2017 program, a sponsored hole, and a logo on the event banner.Silver Level, at $1,000, is the same, but the ad in the program is only half a page.Bronze-level sponsors ($600) receive all the benefits of Gold and Silver but with no ad in the program.Sponsoring a single hole requires a $250 contribution.

The event will conclude with a 7 p.m.barbecue dinner and silent auction.Tournament participants will eat free while all other guests must pay $10 per plate.
